Entre sculpture autonome et objet fonctionnel, Lichen est une pièce semblable à un vestige oublié au fond d’un jardin. Elle fait référence au temps qui passe, à la nature reprenant doucement sa place.

Rocher et objet sculptés par le temps sont recouverts d’une nappe végétale. La mousse redéfinie les formes, elle les fige ensemble créant un paysage domestique silencieux. Lichen est une projection poétique usant de l’imagerie végétale et minérale. C’est aussi une rencontre entre une forme libre, asymétrique proche de ce que notre imaginaire met en lien avec l’idée du naturel et une forme contrôlée, symétrique se rattachant au vocabulaire du calibrage humain.

Projet Lauréat de La Biennale Internationale de Céramique de Carouge 2019.

Un exemplaire a intégré les collections du musée de la céramique de la ville de Carouge, Genève Suisse.

 

 

 Between autonomous sculpture and functional object, Lichen is a piece similar to a vestige forgotten at the bottom of a garden. It refers to the elapsing time, to nature taking its place. Rock and object sculpted by time are covered with a vegetable tablecloth. Moss redefines shapes and creates a silent landscape. Lichen is a poetic projection using vegetal and mineral imagery. It is also a dialogue between an organique and asymmetrical shape close to what our imagination encountered in connection with the idea of naturalness and a controlled/symmetrical form related to the vocabulary human industrial calibration.

 

First Prize of the Carouge International Ceramic Biennial 2019.

One piece has joined the collections of the ceramic museum of the city of Carouge, Geneva Swiss.
